Design Development and Analysis
Andrews Space has a unique combination of extensive experience, solid engineering fundamentals, and advanced CAD/CAE tools that provide the company with an exceptional capabilty to conduct design, analysis, and visualization of complex aerospace systems including aircraft, launch vehicles, satellites, and both manned and unmanned spacecraft.
In addition to our extensive system design experience, Andrews has hardware design experience with a wide range of subsystems including: avionics, power (batteries, auxiliary power units, fuel cells, solar, thermal, and nuclear); recovery and landing systems; main and auxiliary propulsion systems; hydraulics; thermal control; environmental control; and life support systems.
Andrews Space engineers have extensive experience using state-of-the-art CAD/CAE software tools to analyze a wide variety of applications. The analytical tools that Andrews uses include CFD++ for complex fluid dynamic modeling, Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks CAD tools for performing 3-D solid model design/ assembly, and Pro/MECHANICA, COSMOSWorks, NEiNASTRAN, and LS-DYNA for performing finite element-based static and dynamic analyses.
